WHITEWARE
The whiteware is made from a talc body, a durable earthenware fired to cone 5. It may be decorated with colored slips, or left in its milk-white state, and covered with a clear, shiny glaze.
BROWNWARE
The brown clay goes to the same temperature; the outside is sometimes left unglazed brown, with the interior richly glazed.
All materials are lead-free and safe in the oven and microwave, although not meant for use on the surface of the stove.
